Nude man who grabbed woman sexually in park involved in series of incidents, police say
Incidents occurred in Calgary's downtown and southwest throughout summer
Calgary police believe a man involved in a random, sexually-motivated incident earlier in August is the same person responsible for other similar incidents that happened throughout the summer.
Between July 7 and Aug. 13, police said they received calls related to indecent exposure and flashing incidents.
The calls involved the same suspect from an Aug. 10 incident when an unknown naked stranger allegedly approached a group of three women walking through Elbow Park in southwest Calgary, according to police.
They said the man grabbed one of the women in a sexual manner and pinned another to the ground.
"Victims have reported instances of walking along public pathways and being startled by a man who jumps out of the bushes while naked, and being flashed by a man while walking downtown," reads a statement from the Calgary Police Service.
"Investigators believe the suspect is often nude or partially clothed and prowls or hides in yards, alleys, and public green spaces during the late evening and very early morning hours."
Police say the suspect is a male with a light-to-medium skin tone, a medium build, in his mid-30s with black hair and a beard or facial stubble.
