Calgary police investigate death of teen in Citadel

Calgary police are investigating the suspicious death of a youth in the northwest community of Citadel.

Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Citadel Drive N.W. after receiving a call around 10 p.m. MT Tuesday.

The cause of death is not known but the homicide unit is investigating.

Police are not releasing any details on the age of the youth at this point, but EMS say crews found a teenage boy in medical distress when they arrived at the home.

An EMS spokesperson said they were not able to resuscitate the boy, and passed the case over to police.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.
