The weather outside has been frightful this past week, with snowfall warnings blanketing a wide swath of Alberta, and a polar vortex that's forecast to bring Arctic cold to the province this weekend.
The deep freeze is expected to remain for at least another week.
"We're going to face very cold and freezing conditions that will make hibernating more of a thing to do," said David Phillips, a senior climatologist with Environment Canada.
"I mean, we can't migrate, so we've got to hibernate," he said.
But there are plenty of animals in Alberta who aren't hibernating at the moment, and you've been sending us photos of them out and about in your neighbourhoods.
Here are a few of those incredible photos that we've received in recent days. As always, thanks for sending them along.
