Pets show off their costumes for Calgary 'Howloween' parade

Dogs (and one cat) strutted their stuff through Calgary's Central Memorial Park on Halloween for a costumed parade. The physically distanced event ended with pumpkin treats for the participants.

Dogs (and one cat) strutted their stuff through Calgary's Central Memorial Park on Halloween for a costumed parade.

Saturday's pet costume parade was put on by the Calgary Public Library and Calgary Expo.

The physically distanced event ended with pumpkin treats for the participants at Park by Sidewalk Citizen.

Gracie's owners Sophie and Anna Krupp made tweaks to a human costume so Gracie could be a pirate. "We've never really been the type of people to dress up our dogs," Sophie said — their mom convinced them to join the event. (Sarah Rieger/CBC)
