Calgarians shocked to see two moose trotting across Shouldice Bridge in northwest Calgary
It's one thing to see wildlife near the Bow River, but it's another to see them crossing it on a bridge
There were some moose on the loose Monday afternoon in Calgary.
Two of the majestic animals took an afternoon stroll through Shouldice Park and across the Shouldice Bridge in the northwest community of Montgomery.
Did you see the moose on the loose near Bowness today? This Calgary dog walker did, but thankfully from the safety of her car. (🎥: Submitted by Susan Smith) pic.twitter.com/hwN0CFuhxN

The sight of the moose shocked walkers and drivers alike as the animals, one large, one small, took a mid-afternoon shortcut across the bridge and through the park near the Bow River.
Drivers and pedestrians gave the large animals a wide berth.
Susan Smith managed to capture a short video as she was out for an afternoon walk dog walk in Shouldice Park, and Jennifer Achenbach managed to capture the photos of the moose crossing the bridge, which she posted to the Facebook group Born And/or Raised Bownesian.
