3 charged with 2nd-degree murder in Beltline homicide, 1 man still at large

Three people have been charged with second-degree murder and police are searching for a fourth person of interest related to the death of a man in Calgary's Beltline on Sunday. 

Police identified the victim as 33-year-old Karson Goodeagle

JAN. 8 UPDATE: Timothy Jones was arrested and charged with second-degree murder today, police said.


Three people have been charged with second-degree murder and police are searching for a fourth person of interest related to the death of a man in Calgary's Beltline on Sunday. 

Police say they were called to the area of 11th Avenue and First Street S.E. around 4:50 a.m. on Jan. 5 for reports of a man in medical distress. The man, 33-year-old Carson Goodeagle, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

An autopsy determined Goodeagle was stabbed to death.

Three men were arrested on Monday for the fatal attack and have been charged with second-degree murder: Dwayne Iyn Turner, 52; Tyrell Noskiye, 29; and Yahye Gabad, 23.

A fourth man, Timothy Jones, has been identified as a "person of interest" and police are asking for help locating him. 

Jones is described as approximately six feet two inches tall and weighing 205 pounds. 

Police say it's believed the attack was targeted and was motivated by drugs.

The three men who have been formally charged are set to appear in court on Jan. 10.
