Five long seasons have passed since the Calgary Flames have seen any NHL playoff action, but that drought ends Wednesday night as the team takes their first crack at the Vancouver Canucks in the first round.
It's actually the opposite of what most would have predicted six months ago, but support for the team ramped up as the Flames gained momentum through the season. Now Calgarians are being swept up in the "C of Red."
