Traffic snarled after pedestrian hit by C-Train

A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition Thursday after being hit by a C-Train just after 8 a.m. near 36th Street and 20th Avenue N.E.

A 44-year-old man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition Thursday after being hit by a C-Train just after 8 a.m. near 36th Street and 20th Avenue N.E.

"The train driver activated the horn and tried to stop the train but was unable to," said  Sgt. David den Tandt.

Trains were stopped in both directions while officials investigated and traffic in the area was also disrupted. 

Shuttles were set up to ferry passengers between the Rundle and Marlborough stations.
