Calgary airport tunnel opens, driver records 1st trip through
The new airport tunnel officially opened to drivers at 5 a.m. MT Sunday — and sure enough, there were a few Calgarians ready to take the first drive.
How early would you wake up to be one of the 1st through the new tunnel?
The new airport tunnel officially opened to drivers at 5 a.m. MT Sunday — and sure enough, there were a few Calgarians who woke up early to take the first drive.
Ed Tanas, who tweets at @CalgaryKiaGuy, was up just in time for the early opening.
According to his YouTube video of the drive, Tanas went through the new tunnel in the westbound lane at 5:08 a.m. before turning back around to go through the eastbound tunnel.
There's even a soundtrack to go along with the ride — however, the satellite signal cuts out inside the tunnel.
