A train derailed on Monday afternoon in southern Alberta, with multiple cars coming off the track.
RCMP say a train derailed near Highway 873 and Range Road 142, just outside the city of Brooks, Alta.
No injuries were reported.
Police say about 17 cars carrying shipping containers with "various products" left the tracks.
CPKC says its teams were responding to the site to begin a full assessment and cleanup.
On Tuesday, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada said it had deployed two investigators who would gather information and assess the scene.
