Blue Jays fans in Calgary rejoice
Celebration in the city as Canadian team takes American League East division title
Decked out in a powder blue retro Roy Halladay jersey, Jeremy Klaszus started his Thursday with a spring in his step.
"It is a good morning," said the Calgary freelance writer, who has been a hard-core Jays fan for more than seven years.
And he's not the only one.
Ok bye Twitter, going to celebrate in the streets, I can here people cheering all over downtown Calgary from their windows. BLUE JAYS!!!!

Congrats from Calgary <a href="https://twitter.com/BlueJays">@BlueJays</a>! Haven't been this excited about baseball since actually being at Jays games circa 92'-93'. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoJaysGo?src=hash">#GoJaysGo</a>

Jays fans in Calgary rejoiced Wednesday afternoon as the team knocked the Baltimore Orioles out of the ballpark, clinching the American League East title in the process.
It's the first time since 1993 that the Toronto Blue Jays will move on to the Major League Baseball playoffs, and as the odds-on favourite to win the World Series, to boot.
"I'm a Jays fan by genetics; my dad is a huge Jays fan," said civil engineer Chelsea Kochany.
The Calgarian has been supporting the team through the bad years and isn't sure if she likes the idea of her friends jumping on the blue bandwagon.
"Well, in the mid-season I was sort of just like — 'Oh where did all you guys all come from?' You guys have been making fun of me for liking the Jays for the last couple of years and I'm expected to say, 'Yeah, lets go cheer together.'"
Klaszus feels differently.
"What qualifications do you need to be a baseball fan, a Blue Jay fan? Whatever. Join tomorrow, you know, follow baseball. Enjoy it. I think the more, the better."
