2 drivers killed in highway crash northeast of Calgary

Two people were killed in a collision on Highway 9 northeast of Calgary on Thursday, RCMP say.

Emergency crews were still on the scene of the crash between Range Road 251 and Range Road 253 east of Beiseker late into the night.

Both of the fatally injured drivers were the lone occupants of their vehicles, a release said.

It's not known what led to the crash. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting in the investigation.
