Bear warnings issued for parks near Canmore
Parts of the Bow Valley on the west side of Canmore have been closed due to bear activity in the area.
Hungry bears feasting on berries leads to closures
An area near Canmore has been closed due to an increase in bear activity.
The province has closed the Quarry Lake and Grassi Lakes day use area and surrounding trails west of Canmore due to grizzly and black bears feeding on berries in the area.
Bear sightings have also led Alberta Parks and Wildsmart to issue warnings for the Canmore Nordic Centre and the Legacy Trail between Canmore and Banff National Park.
