Calgary police want to talk to a family seen interacting with homicide victim Sara Baillie and her young daughter, who is now missing, at a Dairy Queen on Sunday evening.
At a news conference this afternoon, police released images taken from surveillance video at the restaurant at 66 Sandarac Dr. N.W. around 5:30 p.m. showing the mother and daughter speaking to other patrons.
The 34-year-old Baillie was found dead about 8:30 p.m. Monday after police were called to her home in the 1000 block of Panamount Blvd. N.W. by relatives worried that she hadn't shown up for work. An Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday for her missing five-year-old daughter, Taliyah Marsman.
At the news conference, Insp. Don Coleman said witnesses in the Panorama Hills neighbourhood reported seeing a little girl matching Taliyah's description walking with a stocky, black male on Monday morning.
They were spotted at about 11:30 a.m. near where Baillie's vehicle was located, close to Panamount Boulevard N.W. The girl was wearing red or pink boots with white polka dots and was carrying a reddish-coloured suitcase.

Police have ruled Baillie's death as a homicide but have not publicly disclosed the cause of death.
'She is my light,' says father
Earlier Wednesday, Taliyah's father, Colin Marsman — who was Baillie's estranged common-law spouse — issued a statement to the media through a friend pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
"With all my heart, I love her sooo much; she is my light! Please allow her to come home to her family," he said.
"Those who know me best, know the person and kind of father I am, and know more than anything, I just want my baby girl back."
Calgary police say the 36-year-old Marsman has been co-operating.
According to a family friend, Marsman is a hardworking construction worker who has one other child, a teenaged boy, and is distraught and in shock about Taliyah being missing.
Police said they have received about 100 tips from the public. They have also collected surveillance video from some homes and businesses, but they are looking for more.
Coleman said he remains optimistic the girl will be found.
"We are hopeful Taliyah is safe," he said.
Anyone with information can call 911. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers, but Coleman said there is sometimes a delay with that method.
