Severe thunderstorm warning hits Calgary area
'Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads'
A severe thunderstorm warning was put in place for the Calgary area and other parts of south and central Alberta, Environment Canada said in a release at about 6:15 p.m. MT.
