Gone are the days of trying to perfectly time an airport pickup or drop off to avoid paying for parking at the Calgary airport.

First 30 minutes will now cost $3

Gone are the days of perfectly timing an airport pickup or drop off to avoid paying for parking at the Calgary International Airport.

As of today, the airport is no longer offering free parking for the first 30 minutes. It will now cost $3.

For people waiting to pick up travellers, it's still possible do so without paying. You can wait in the nearby cell phone lot until your guest has arrived, then drive to the arrivals area.

Anyone who wants to park and go inside the airport, however, will now have to pay.
