Earlier this week, a man at the airport told Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers he was carrying $2,000.
But another $80,000 in U.S. and Canadian bills was discovered on closer examination of his luggage, the agency said.
The man was unable to prove he had legitimately obtained the money.
The agency is continuing to investigate.
