Didsbury RCMP say a 76-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman from Qualicum Beach, B.C., were killed in a crash about 45 kilometres north of Calgary on Saturday.

Officers responded to a crash between a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F-350 on Highway 22 at Range Road 303 just north of Cremona, Alta., after 4:30 p.m.

A release from the RCMP says first responders tended to two people who were travelling in the Toyota, however both of them died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It's unclear what caused the crash and RCMP say officers continue to investigate.
