Climbing temperatures will be the next big weather story, beginning this afternoon, when temperatures will get up into the 20s. Blue skies will continue for the next few days.

By the weekend, the South Coast will be feeling like 30 degrees for areas away from the water. For the B.C. Interior, it'll be more like the mid-30s.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, as temperature records are expected to fall, and fire danger will quickly rise.

Make sure to stay hydrated in the heat!
