A man who was shot inside an Abbotsford home this weekend has died of his injuries, police say.

18-year-old arrested at the scene; police say he and 20-year-old victim knew each other

A man who was shot inside an Abbotsford home this weekend has died of his injuries, police say.

The 20-year-old man was rushed to hospital with critical injuries Sunday evening after he was shot in the Birch Street home. He has since died, investigators said Tuesday.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Police say he and the victim knew each other, and the incident is not believed to be related to gangs.

Abbotsford police have now handed the investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
