#VanKiss signs pop up around city for another year
Mysterious elves have posted sprigs of mistletoe around the city
Pucker up, because the Vancouver holiday tradition where mysterious mistletoe is hung around the city is back.
For the past few years, an anonymous group called #VanKiss Elves have attached mistletoe mounted on brackets to trees, street lights, and poles around the city.
When reached by CBC, one of the elves said in an e-mail that the aim of the project is to connect and engage people in Vancouver during the holidays.
"As a free and accessible initiative, we hope to spread joy and happiness to everyone."

Vancouverites have taken to it with gusto, posting photos on social media with the hashtag #VanKiss.

The project started in 2012 with just two locations and had grown to 32 installations last year. This year, there will be 50 installations.
There's isn't a list available of all the locations where #VanKiss signs can be found, but CBC put together some of the locations that have been identified in social media posts.
