Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson spent $136.80 on candies for the 2015 Chinese New Year Parade, $1,237.50 for a Pride Guide advertisement and $1,800.02 for an year-long subscription to media monitoring service Infomart.

Those numbers are part of the just-released 2015 city council expense summary which shows Robertson rang up expenses of $39,153.32 last year, a large portion of the expenses due to travel to Paris, Vatican City, China, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Edmonton.

Of the 10 city councilors, Heather Deal ran up the biggest total expense tab —$14,200.12 — followed by Adriane Carr's  $13,610,28.

Geoff Meggs submitted receipts for $2,313.64 under the parking and transportation category, charging for transit passes, taxis fares, Modo Car Co-op, Car2Go rides and parking.

However, Meggs and Deputy Mayor Andrea Reimer were the only council members not collecting the annual transportation allowance of $4,254.24 . Reimer was reimbursed $649.26 for parking and transportation.

Councilor Kerry Jang did collect the transportation allowance and was also reimbursed an additional $186.93 in parking expenses.

Raymond Louie was reimbursed $450.00 for Christmas cards while Tim Stevenson collected $25.64 for a book entitled "The Comeback — How Aboriginals are Reclaiming Power and Influence."

The mayor and councillors get an annual stipend for municipal-related expenses. Expenses for the mayor and councilors all came in under their annual allotted budget.
