#VancouverIStay has city tweeting why they love it
Initiative started by 3 bloggers who wanted to highlight positive aspects of Vancouver
Tired of hearing mostly negative things about Vancouver, a trio of bloggers set out to find people with positive things to say about the city.Â
That's why Cassandra Anderton and two other bloggers hit up several locations around Vancouver, asking people to shoot short videos and write messages on why they love the city.Â
The bloggers say they know Vancouver has housing affordability issues, but they wanted to focus on positive aspects of living in the city for a day.Â
They got more than 30 people to jot down what they love about Vancouver and many more on social media.Â
They've had dozens of posters signed, people giving different reasons why they love Vancouver. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/vancouveristay?src=hash">#vancouveristay</a> <a href="https://t.co/C2x499CF6o">pic.twitter.com/C2x499CF6o</a>

Anderton admits there were some people who chose not to sign the boards and many didn't have positive things to say.
"We're not trying to whitewash anything here," she said. "We're just trying to show the other side for a day or two and bring people together over something positive."
Here's what Vancouverites tweeted with the hashtag #VancouverIStay

In & around Vancouver you can swim, run, hike, and do snow activities all in one day. Where else can you do that? <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/VancouverIStay?src=hash">#VancouverIStay</a>

Some felt the city needs to accept the criticisms that come its way
Proof <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Vancouver?src=hash">#Vancouver</a> is still not a real grown up city is the hashtag <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/vancouveristay?src=hash">#vancouveristay</a>. Other world class cities don't mind some criticism.

I bet every reason for <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/vancouveristay?src=hash">#vancouveristay</a> has to do with lifestyle & beauty while those against are about price & people. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/choice?src=hash">#choice</a>
