Vancouver Aquarium rescues abandoned harbour seals

Officials with the Vancouver Aquarium's marine mammal rescue centre say harbour seal pups are showing up in increasing numbers on local beaches.

Officials with the Vancouver Aquarium's marine mammal rescue centre say harbour seal pups are showing up in increasing numbers on local beaches.

Last year, the centre rescued more than 150 seal pups.

Volunteers are looking after 16 right now and, as the CBC's Deborah Goble reports, they expect many more will be brought in over the coming months.
