Upper Lynn Valley residents without water overnight due to broken water main

Some residents in Upper Lynn Valley were without water overnight after a water main broke on Saturday. Water service was restored at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The District of North Vancouver is asking residents to run taps until their water runs clear.

Some residents in Upper Lynn Valley in North Vancouver were without water overnight after a water main broke Saturday.

Crews with the District of North Vancouver worked through the night at the intersection of Coleman Street and Ramsay Road to restore water.

The service was back online by about 9:30 a.m. PT. 

Crews also worked to repair Ramsay Road where it was damaged as well as a sidewalk that caved in. The district expects repairs to be completed before the Monday morning commute.

The area is closed to traffic as workers attempt to fix the damage.

The district is asking residents affected by the water outage to run their water until it turns clear.
