2 men wanted in Surrey, B.C., on Canada-wide warrants turn themselves in
Shakiel Singh Basra and Amarpreet Singh Samra are in custody
Two men who were wanted on a Canada-wide warrant have turned themselves in to the police and are now in custody, according to Surrey RCMP.
Shakiel Singh Basra and Amarpreet Singh Samra, both 25, are facing multiple charges including unlawful confinement, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
RCMP had earlier turned to the public to help them find the pair who were believed to be somewhere in Surrey, B.C.
The two men turned themselves in on Monday and are scheduled to appear in court next week.
RCMP's General Investigation Unit and the Surrey Gang Enforcement Team are involved in investigating incidents involving the two suspects, which are believed to be isolated and targeted events.
Police issued a statement thanking the public for their help and information.
