Get ready, Timber Kings fans: There are a new group of kings in town.

Carver Kings, a companion to the hit HGTV reality series Timber Kings, will premiere in a week.

Also set in Williams Lake, B.C., Carver Kings follows a team of chainsaw carvers who transform raw wood into one-of-a-kind, intricate artwork for the owners of the spectacular log homes seen in Timber Kings.

"We've got giant eagles, bears, there's a dragon table throne … a Tiki bar that I carved — there's everything and anything, to be honest," said Ryan Cook, one of the carvers on the new show, in an interview with Daybreak Kamloops.

"You never know what we're going to be carving."

Cook says the group of chainsaw carvers are part of the team at Pioneer Log Homes, the company featured in Timber Kings. Throughout the new series, the carvers must meet "crazy deadlines" and deal with demanding clients.

Cook, a former actor, said he turned to carving after a show he was on was cancelled. Carving has become like an addiction, and he has worked on his craft every single day for the last four years, he said.

"I'm constantly pushing myself to carve," he said. "It's never the same thing, so it's like a job that is always changing, and it means something to someone."

Carver Kings will debut on television on April 5.
