Suspicious fire leaves 1 dead in Richmond

Homicide investigators have been called in after a suspicious fire left one person dead in Richmond on Monday morning.

Homicide investigators have been called in after a suspicious fire left one person dead in Richmond on Monday morning.

Police say the fire broke out around 2 a.m. PT at a home on the 10000 block of Cornerbrook Crescent.

They have confirmed that one adult was killed in the fire.

There are unconfirmed reports the duplex may have a group home for children and that several may have been taken to hospital.

Roads in the area have been closed.
