Assailant flees as driver shouts for help
Surrey RCMP are looking for a taxi cab passenger who allegedly stabbed his driver early Sunday morning.
Police say it happened around 6 a.m. PT in front of the Parkside apartments at 13352 105A Ave.
A witness says a man jumped out of a Surrey Metro Taxi and ran away while the driver, his white shirt bloodied in the attack, shouted for help.
Police say they're hoping that video surveillance in the taxicab will help them identify a suspect.
The driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
