Surrey gunshots ring out again as vehicles flee and police scramble
Officers arrest all the occupants of a home, send one man to hospital
After a day that saw three separate shootings across Metro Vancouver in an eight-hour span, Surrey RCMP are dealing with violent gunplay yet again.
Police received multiple reports of gunfire and vehicles speeding away in the area of 125 Street. and 95 Avenue around 8:30 p.m. PT Saturday.
According to police, one of the vehicles sped down 125 Street to a residence less than two blocks away from where the shots were heard. Officers scrambled in response and arrested all the occupants inside the home.
Investigators won't say how many people are in custody, but one man was taken to Surrey Memorial Hospital with a gun shot wound.
Gunfire trend continues
This most recent investigation follows a series of shootings across Metro Vancouver on Friday.
Friday afternoon RCMP received a report of a man visibly bleeding at the food court at the Surrey City Centre Mall, located at 10200 King George Blvd.
Earlier in the day, Burnaby RCMP found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in an alley in the 3800 block of Hastings Street.
Later that same day, Delta Police responded to reports of shots fired through the top-floor window of a residence in the 8300 block of 110 St.
No one was injured in that incident.
