Police say they have a suspect in custody following two stabbings in Surrey Wednesday.

One victim is in hospital in critical condition. The other suffered non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP received a call about an assault with a weapon near the intersection of 108 Ave. and 135A St Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m. PT.

Officers arrived to find a possible suspect fleeing the scene.

Police say two other people with injuries were found nearby, although it's unclear if both incidents are related.
