Jason Richard Gill, 47, died at the scene on King George Bvld. after suffering multiple stab wounds, IHIT said
A 24-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to a fatal stabbing in July, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
The B.C. Prosecution Service laid the charge against William Alexander Clippingdale on Tuesday, according to an IHIT news release.
Surrey RCMP said they responded to a complaint of a fight in the 6600-block of King George Boulevard at around 11:50 p.m. PT on July 23 and found a man at the scene suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The man was later identified by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team as 47-year-old Jason Richard Gill, from Surrey. He died of his injuries at the scene, IHIT said.
"Investigators believe that the parties were known to one another and that this was an isolated incident." said IHIT Cpl. Esther Tupper in the release.
Court documents show Clippingdale will remain in custody until his next court appearance, which is scheduled for Sept. 11.
