It seems more and more likely that the lyrics to our national anthem will soon change to be more gender neutral, as Mauril Belanger's private members' bill was approved by MPs to advance to its final vote.

Late night talk show host Stephen Colbert not only supports the idea of our "law igloo" changing a word or two in O Canada to reflect equality — he's come up with an entirely new version.

Colbert's revamped song is complete with references to our sexy celebrities named Ryan, cold weather and — of course — our 'hot' prime minister, Justin Trudeau.

The host of Late Night with Stephen Colbert also thinks we should change the name of Regina, but so far has offered up no suggestions.
