RCMP is investigating another shooting in Surrey that's left one man injured and the walls of an elementary school riddled with bullet holes.

Police were called to the grounds of Strawberry Hill Elementary School in the 7600 block of 124 Street around 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, when someone reported gunfire in the area.

An unidentified man was found injured with a gunshot wound on the school grounds and was rushed to hospital. His condition is not known.

The school itself was hit several times by a rain of bullets, but it is unclear whether there were any children on the school grounds at the time.

Police are speaking to witnesses at the scene, but say no one has been taken into custody.

Surrey Schools Communication Services manager, Doug Strachan, says Strawberry Hill Elementary School will be open as usual on Wednesday.

This is the third shooting in Surrey in the past four days.
