Daytime shooting in Delta sends man to hospital
Police have closed 120th Street at 92nd Avenue while they investigate the shooting.
A man has been sent to hospital and the suspect is on the loose after a shooting this morning in the 9200 block of 120 Street in Delta, B.C.
Police have closed 120th Street in both directions at 92nd Avenue while they investigate. The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. PT.
The suspect's vehicle, described as "a dark smaller import," was seen heading from the shooting northbound on 120th Street.
"This is a daytime shooting so ... that is concerning for us with respect to public safety," said Sharlene Brooks of the Delta Police Department.
"We've got several police officers in and around the area."
The victim, a 25-year-old man, has non-life threatening injuries and is not cooperating with the investigation, said Delta Police.
Brooks did not know if the shooting was targeted and said police have not yet identified a suspect.
