Police are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon in east Vancouver, which sent one man to hospital.

Police say they were called to the intersection at Wall and North Penticton streets shortly after 2:30 p.m. PT. A man was taken to hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

In a statement, police said the shooting appeared to be targeted and police are "attempting to piece together what led to the incident."
