B.C.'s children's watchdog is expected to release her report today on the murder of three children in Merritt by their mentally ill father, Allan Schoenborn, and whether any government policies contributed to their deaths

Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond has reviewed how government agencies handled the case involving Schoenborn's children in the days and weeks before he killed them in their home in April 2008.

Turpel-Lafond says she worked with Darcie Clark, the mother of the youngsters, because she wants to ensure any holes in the system are repaired.

Turpel-Lafond is scheduled to release her report at 10:30 a.m. PT in Victoria.

Schoenborn was found not criminally responsible for the slayings and remains in a psychiatric hospital, although his case is due for its regular review next month.
