Annual Santa Claus Parade spreads Christmas cheer in downtown Vancouver
Hundreds of thousands lined streets of downtown Vancouver for annual parade
It may only be Dec. 4, but Santa Claus has already come to downtown Vancouver.
The annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade made its way down Georgia and Howe Streets on Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of spectators, many of them families, bundled up against the first of the South Coast's winter chill to take in the festivities.
All of the crowd's Christmas favourites were there — including the edible kind.
And of course, there were lots of community groups performing as part of the parade.
Some familiar favourites made their way down the streets of downtown Vancouver, adding cheer as they walked along.
Some of the younger people in the audience were very excited about Santa.
Others didn't seem to know what all the fuss was about.
And still others were just trying to stay warm during the whole thing.
