Robert Pickton's brother named in lawsuit for alleged assault
Woman claims Dave Pickton sexually assaulted her 20 years ago
A Vancouver woman has launched a lawsuit against David Pickton, the brother of serial killer Robert Pickton, alleging he threatened to kill and rape her while on a Burnaby construction site more than two decades ago.
The document filed in B.C. court claims Pickton was convicted of the assault in 1992, but the conviction could not be immediately confirmed because a search of the Ministry of Justice's online database appears not to go back that far.
Pickton says he has a hard time remembering 20 years ago, and when he was told the woman's name he only said her name sounded familiar.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
Dave Pickton is the brother of convicted serial killer Robert Pickton, who was convicted in 2007 for the second-degree murder of six women, whose remains were found on the family's Coquitlam pig farm.
Dave was considered a person of interest by police in the investigation that led to the conviction of his brother, but was never charged in the case.
