Rick Hansen revisited and reconquered a formidably steep hill in Port Moody, B.C., on Friday that was one of the toughest challenges of his Man in Motion tour 25 years ago, as the CBC's Deborah Goble reports.
Rick Hansen revisited a steep hill in Port Moody, B.C., on Friday that was one of the toughest challenges of his original Man in Motion tour 25 years ago.
"Gonna give it a good shot," Hansen said as he warmed up at the foot of Thermal Drive. "I figure, at 54, I can only give it a good shot."
The 1.6-kilometre hill is considered a killer walk, let alone trying to do it in a wheelchair.
As the CBC’s Deborah Goble reports, this time, Hansen had even more company along to make the climb with him.
