RCMP seek Hells Angel after Nanaimo raid

Two men have been arrested and a third man, a member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels, is being sought following a raid on a Vancouver Island home, police said Thursday.

Two men have been arrested and a third man, a member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels, is being sought following a raid on a Vancouver Island home, police said Thursday.

The RCMP and the North Island emergency response team executed a search warrant late Wednesday afternoon at residence in the 2700 block of Twilight Way in Nanaimo.

Officers found a variety of materials used by emergency and police personnel, including RCMP uniforms, paramedic uniforms, a police badge for the Central Saanich Police Department and a ballistic vest, said Cpl. Gary O'Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.

The search also turned up equipment used in fraud and identity theft, firearms and many stolen computers and electronic items.

"Two males were in the residence at the time and were arrested without incident," O'Brien said in a news release on Thursday.

"A third male associated to the same residence and currently a full patch member of the Nanaimo Hells Angels is being sought," he said.

Police would not release the men's names; nor would they give further information on what prompted the raid.
