RCMP ask public to be cautious

The incident was the second targeted shooting in Burnaby this week.

Early on Wednesday morning a man drove his car into the bedroom of a house after he was shot.

Burnaby investigators said they are working with other RCMP detachments to determine whether these incidents are linked.

Staff Sgt. Maj. John Buis of the Burnaby RCMP said that members of the public should be cautious.

"For now we believe that the public is not at great risk, but having said that, you should always be mindful of your surroundings, and particularly if you see known gang members in the area," he said.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
