Raptors vs. Warriors Vancouver tickets sell out in minutes
Sellout creates social media backlash against ticket resellers
Who says Vancouver isn't a basketball city?
Tickets to see Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors play against the Toronto Raptors in VancouverĀ sold out in mere minutes on Friday.Ā
The Oct. 1 gameĀ is the first chance fans will get to see Kevin DurantĀ play in a Warriors jersey.Ā
But for many disappointed fans, that won't happen from inside Rogers Arena, and many of them took to social media to complain.Ā

If thisĀ feels familiar, it's because it's becomingĀ routine in Vancouver when hotly-anticipated events come to the city.
Tickets also quickly sold out in minutes for theĀ Adele, Drake and Paul McCartney concerts.
Bring back basketball to Vancouver
Despite their disappointment,Ā many fans also pointed that if the interest in Vancouver is this high for a pre-season game, perhaps the NBA should pay attention.
EverĀ since the Vancouver Grizzlies left the city, basketball fans have only had exhibition games to tideĀ them over.
Many tweeted it's time for the city to have its own basketball team again.Ā
How is a preseason game between the <a href="https://twitter.com/Raptors">@Raptors</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/warriors">@warriors</a> in <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/YVR?src=hash">#YVR</a> sold out within a few hours!
