Child dies after falling from B.C. apartment building
RCMP, BC Coroners Service investigating
RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a child fell multiple storeys from a Burnaby apartment building Saturday afternoon.
An RCMP officer on scene said the victim died on impact. It's unclear if the child fell from a window or a balcony and from which floor.
The building is at 3771 Bartlett Court.
Officials haven't released the age or gender of the victim.

Sgt. Dale Carr said the fall was most likely accidental.
"It's not unheard of where children lean up against a window that is open and they lean against a screen and then fall," he said.
"That's a very common occurrence, [it] happens more at the beginning of summer, but certainly not beyond the realm of possibilities in this instance as well."
Neighbours in the area said they're stunned by the tragedy.
"It's pretty horrible actually, to find out a kid fell," said Russell Bergquist. "Like there's a lot of families in here, a lot of young kids, and it's just awful."
