Lin emigrated to Vancouver with his family during his late teens and later studied theatre at UBC.

His Vancouver-based agent, Andrew Ooi, says his family still lives on the West Coast.

Due to the rules around the production, Lin wasn't able to do conduct any interviews but shared his excitement about his new role on social media.

If all turns out as planned, Lin can count on seeing his family more often. A secret film project, led by Power Rangers movie director Dean Israelite, is set to shoot in Vancouver.
