Possible human remains found in Abbotsford, IHIT taking over case

Abbotsford Police passes investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over a case where human remains were found on a rural Abbotsford B.C. property Oct. 22.

A resident found the remains at around 2 p.m. PT Saturday on Downes Road near Mt. Lehman Road

Police say officers, major crime detectives and forensic identification members along with the B.C. Coroners Service are on the scene and are still in the early stages of the investigation.
