The line up were long but worth it according to the thousands of fair goers who took advantage of a limited time free admission to the PNE.

The allure of saving $16 ($8 for seniors) was too strong for thousands who braved the long line ups of PNE Free Day.

Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.there was no admission charged to the 106th annual edition of the fair.

Fairgoers still had to pay for the rides.
