One woman was injured in a targeted, isolated shooting in Pitt Meadows, B.C. on Sunday.

Ridge Meadows RCMP said the woman was driving on Old Dewdney Trunk Road when she was shot.

The woman was taken to hospital, but police did not elaborate on her injuries. A tweet said more information would be released on Tuesday.

The road is closed between Lougheed Highway and Reichenbach Road as officers investigate.
