Special ballot counts continue as 2 federal ridings in B.C. remain undecided
Nanaimo-Ladysmith and Richmond Centre are still too close to call
Uncertainty over the outcome of two B.C. ridings drags on following Monday's federal vote.
Nanaimo-Ladysmith and Richmond Centre are still too close to call.
The Elections Canada website shows no special ballots have yet been tallied in either riding.
Numbers show the NDP candidate leading the Conservative Party challenger in Nanaimo-Ladysmith, while the Liberals are ahead of the Conservatives in Richmond Centre.
It's taken several days for the official results in two other B.C. ridings: Vancouver Granville and West Vancouver–Sunshine Coast–Sea to Sky Country.
However, on Thursday night, Taleeb Noormohamed won the seat for the Liberal Party in the Vancouver Granville riding, where a tight race between Noormohamed and NDP candidate Anjali Appadurai kept the results uncertain for three days.
In another close race, Liberal candidate Patricks Weiler was elected in the West Vancouver–Sunshine Coast–Sea to Sky Country riding.
