Two separate, serious accidents involving pedestrians in Abbotsford and Surrey, B.C., have left the victims in serious condition, say police.
In Surrey, a woman was knocked unconscious and sustained severe head injuries after she was struck by a minivan on 75a Avenue at 125th Street at about 6:15 p.m. PT.

The street has been closed since police arrived on the scene.
Police say the woman is between 25 to 35 years old and lives in the area.
In Abbotsford, a 74 year-old man was hit near the intersection of Slocan Drive and Trethewey Street at around 7 p.m. PT.
The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition by air ambulance, say RCMP.
Police say the driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
